Cool independent wedding dress designers are so much in voque right now – taking me back to the 90’s and early noughties, when couture fashion was in its hey day. Back then, brides were just waking up to the idea of finding something truly different and unique, so my work was a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the bridal industry.

It has been a lifelong journey for me as a wedding dress designer. Walking away from the fashion industry to launching my own business and creating dream wedding dresses for my brides fills me with such pride, joy and personal satisfaction. So, to be named on the list, makes me feel truly priviledged and honoured that I remained focused over the years – holding fast to the dreams of my heart.

How I write the next paragraph is beyond me right now. Some would say that I need to shout about it! And yes, I certainly will be, but for now, I just need to enjoy this moment of humble quieteness, and to say thank you so much to the team over at Southern Bride Magazine for putting together such a beautifully composed article. It is such a bold move in the fashion world to think outside the standardised box, with a view to spotlighting and celebrating the work of newly discovered artists. When I consider all the work that goes into creating a brand today, it really is a lifetime comittment requiring the upmost dedication and I truly respect and admire the work of other brave and talented independent wedding dress designers across the globe.
